How NTEI Training Partnership Works
The NTEI Training Partnership is designed for Nigeria-registered fashion businesses seeking
to join our mission of empowering Nigerian youth with relevant industry skills.
Training Partner
Register online as a training partner, we will screen your application and send one of our agent to your location for physical inspection
Trainee Pairing
We will pair training partner with successful applicants nearby, follow by a one week trial period to determine compatibility between trainer & trainee
Training & Inspection
NTEI will handle paperwork and fees associated with the training and carryout routine physical/virtual inspection of apprentice
Frequently Asked Questions And Answers
1. Is this training free or paid?
Yes, it’s free. The training is primarily for skill acquisition. NTEI covers the training fees and handles the necessary paperwork. However, the apprentice or guardian is responsible for their own welfare or that of their child (for candidates under 18 years).
2. Will I be paid during the training?
This is not a job but a learning program. However, in some cases, stipends or support may be provided depending on the program or sponsor.
3. What exactly will I learn?
Depending on program availability, you will learn practical skills in:
- Tailoring
- Fashion design
- Monogram/embroidery
- Basic business skills (in some cases)
4. How long will the training last?
The duration depends on the program but typically ranges from a few months to one year.
5. Will I get a certificate after training?
Yes, successful apprentices may receive a certificate of completion from NTEI with reference to the training partner
6. Can I leave the training anytime?
Yes, but you are expected to inform the NGO and training partner formally. Apprentice who chooses to leave the training program without a valid reason will never be admitted into any NTIE program in the future
